We moved to Hawai'i in August 2002 to get our Master's Degrees. In between all that studying, we managed to see some of the things that make the islands so amazing! Besides the obvious gorgeous beaches, there are extensive hiking trails and an incredible diversity of flora. There's also a rich culture here that we really enjoyed learning more about and many great people. Oh yeah, there's also the perennial good weather! We've made a home for ourselves, right down to our Hawaiian kitties. We've really come to love it here, and we definitely miss it.
Most of these photos were taken while friends and family were visiting. Unfortunately, once we got into the daily routine of life, we didn't have much time to explore the island just by ourselves.
We are nature lovers, so be prepared for lots of pictures of trees, plants, and flowers! Also, we had to scan some of the pictures in our albums, so the image quality is not always the greatest. But we wanted to share them with you anyway!
